LANDSCAPING/ARCHITECTURAL MATTERS Fall affords us some of the best weather of the year, and provides a great time to work in the yard and around the home. Please remember that any landscape or home exterior improvements require HOA approval of an architectural application. Applications are available and can be easily submitted online. Contact our Association Manager with any questions. MAILBOX REPAIRS The Seastrand mailboxes are considered common areas and the HOA has set aside reserve funds for mailbox repairs. There is an annual limit, so if you are interested please contact our Association Manager for further details (SEA@harborbay.org or 510-865-3363 ext. 352). Thanks to all Seastrand homeowners for your support. We welcome your feedback!

Association Manager and accountants, legal fees, and insurance; the last 25% goes to replenish our reserve fund. Every penny spent is reviewed by the Board, especially by our Treasurer David Weintraub. If you’re interested in learning more, come to our bi-monthly Board meetings, where we go over HOA finances in detail. Seastrand by Rick Harkins, Board President RETAINING WALL UPDATE T HE SEASTRAND BOARD HAS REVIEWED BIDS FOR the repair and replacement of the 35+ year old retaining wall that borders the Seastrand homes along the shoreline side. The cost for replacement of the entire wall is significantly more than our current reserve fund balance. Therefore, the Board has decided to delay starting the project until the reserve has sufficient funds. NEW LOOK TO THE SEASTRAND WALKWAY One of the two large pine trees at the Seastrand common area walkway (Nottingham/Sea View Parkway intersection) has been removed. The pine trees were planted when the Seastrand homes were first built in 1987, and though majestic and distinctive, they have grown to a point where the roots have caused the sidewalk to buckle. One of the trees has been removed and the sidewalk and utility areas have been repaired, resulting in a nice clean and safe entrance to the walkway.
