Another important reminder for 2026 relates to California’s new lawn requirements under AB 1572. This law limits the use of potable water on “nonfunctional turf,” meaning decorative grass that is not used for recreation or gatherings. HOAs, including Bay View Harbor, will be required to stop watering these areas by January 1, 2029, and begin planning to convert them into drought-tolerant, water-wise landscaping. This change gives Bay View Harbor an opportunity to update certain common area spaces with native plants, colorful shrubs, and more sustainable landscaping choices that will help conserve water and enhance the look of our community. We appreciate everyone’s support while we prepare for these future improvements. As we move into the new year, we also want to remind residents to help keep Bay View Harbor looking its best by maintaining their personal landscaping. Homeowners are expected to keep lawns and plants in good condition, removing weeds regularly, watering and trimming as needed, and ensuring lawns do not exceed five inches in height. A little attention to your yard goes a long way in preserving Bay View Harbor’s overall appearance and avoiding violations. Thank you for your cooperation and involvement as we head into 2026. PARKING PERMIT PACKETS ARE ON THE WAY Keep an eye on your mailbox—our annual parking permit packet is being mailed to all homeowners. Inside, you’ll find the 2026 parking permit application along with a copy of the updated Baywood Village parking rules. Please take a moment to look everything over once it arrives. A quick reminder: homeowners are required to utilize their two-car garage for parking. We understand situations vary, so exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case

basis. Reviewing the Baywood Village parking rules will help ensure everyone is prepared for a smooth start to the new year. PHASE 3 PSL SEWER LATERAL PROJECT Work on the Phase 3 sewer lateral replacement project is currently in progress. This is a major underground repair effort, and while crews are working hard to limit disruptions, you may notice occasional delays when entering or exiting the community. We truly appreciate your patience during this time. There may be occasional changes or shifts in the schedule, but we will do our best to send out updates as early as possible whenever adjustments are needed. 2026 GUTTER CLEANING BEGINS JANUARY 5 Our annual gutter cleaning is scheduled for January 5 - 23. Below is the general schedule—please keep in mind these dates may shift slightly, especially if we experience rain: • January 5 - 9: Lagunaria and the adjacent side of Ironwood (200s - 1000s) • January 12 - 16: Ironwood (1100 - 100), Chinaberry, and Carob • January 19 - 23: Holly Oak and Baywood Thank you for your cooperation while we complete these important community projects.
