• In Spring 2025, streets and parking surfaces on the north side will be resurfaced. During the work, residents on the north side should park on the south side or outside the complex. Homeowners will be notified in advance of the work. The south side will be done in 2026. • Speed bumps throughout the community will be replaced by asphalt ones in 2025, even though the south side won’t be resurfaced until 2026. • Half of the units will be painted in 2025, and all units will be power washed, evaluated for dry rot, and trim painted white. Homeowners whose homes are being painted must trim plants 6 -12” away from black metal fences and backyard sidings and move any pots out of the way. SECURITY If you observe a security issue such as a suspicious car or damage to Association or personal property, please report it to the Alameda Police Department in addition to Harbor Bay Security. The Board can then get available information from APD. Mail theft should be reported to USPS. WINTER WEATHER REMINDERS Since we’ve already had a couple of atmospheric rivers drench our area in November, please alert our association manager of any fallen trees or large tree limbs in the common areas, or any flooding in or around your unit. Have a mug of hot chocolate on January 31, National Hot Chocolate Day, to brighten up your after-the-holidays doldrums!

APPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I HOPE YOU HAD A safe and enjoyable holiday season and are ready to engage with whatever lies ahead in 2025! NEW ASSOCIATION MANAGER Welcome Nicelle Delos Reyes as our new Association Manager. She had served as our interim manager in the past. She can be reached at 510-865-3363 or by email at BLB@harborbay.org. We also wish to thank Amanda Meng for her outstanding service and wish her well in her new endeavor. SHOUT OUTS TO SOME OF OUR RESIDENTS Amelia and Bogden Grosu have set up a Little Library on the Oak Park pine tree island for books to share. Books for adults and kids are available, so stop by with books to donate and perhaps pick up something new to read. Thanks Amelia and Bogden! Thanks to Kelly Houlihan, who helped fix the exit gate which was stuck open, thereby saving the Association a service call and repair charge from the vendor! Thanks also to Jennifer Biebesheimer, Phillip Stone, our intrepid President Marian Breitbart, and Kathy and Carl Fricke for stacking and covering the pool furniture for the winter! The pool is closed, but the spa is available for those who desire a warm soak this winter. REMINDER: PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE Squirrels, birds, possums, and even skunks are cute, but they can cause problems for us humans and our property. Around Thanksgiving we had an abundance of empty peanut shells scattered around, plus animals gorging on gourds. COMPLETED AND UPCOMING EVENTS • Fall planting took place in December. Ninety-nine plants and six replacement trees were planted, with focus on the south side, and mulch was added to cover the drip lines, conserve water and reduce weeds. • All private sewer lateral, mains, and manholes have passed the EBMUD test and we are awaiting certification documents. Thanks to everyone for being patient with all the disruptions that occurred as a result of the project!
