Woodbridge by Andrea Godoy, Association Manager T HE PLEASANT WEATHER SIGNALS THE START OF upcoming projects and repairs. Please submit an architectural application for all exterior work you intend to undertake. Approved applications are required before work may begin. The Board of Directors and our landscape contractor are collaborating to begin drought-tolerant upgrades in order to comply with bill AB 1572. This bill prohibits the use of potable water to irrigate nonfunctional turf on commercial, municipal, institutional, and multifamily residential properties beginning January 1, 2029. In addition to the newly renovated area next to 398 Tralee Lane, we are also working on upgrading our curb strips in order to comply. In order to convey crime activities, the City of Alameda and the Alameda Police Department host "Beat 33" meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for September 24, 2024, at 6:00 PM, at the Community Center, which is located at 3195 Mecarney Road. On a security note, please remember to close your garage doors to avoid unlawful entry and help keep the community secure. Please report any suspicious conduct you witness by giving Security a call at 510-865-0417. A friendly reminder from your architectural guidelines on Sun-Control Devices/Awnings: On a case-by-case basis, sun-control devices will be considered provided the design and material are compatible with the architectural character of the house, and shall not adversely affect views, light, sun, or natural ventilation of adjacent properties.
