household per year, which typically includes up to three bulky items (such as furniture, mattresses, or appliances) and up to three cubic yards of additional material. Because our trash enclosures are shared among several homes, it’s essential to keep these areas clean, accessible, and free of unauthorized items. Dumping furniture, mattresses, or oversized materials in or around the trash enclosures creates safety hazards, can block access, contributes to overflowing bins, and results in additional costs for the Association. Regular garbage collection occurs once per week on Mondays. If you need to dispose of large items, please schedule a pickup directly with ACI to ensure proper handling and avoid placing them in common trash areas. Thank you for doing your part to keep our shared waste areas clean and functional for all residents. PARKING REMINDERS A friendly reminder: guest parking spaces are limited to 72 consecutive hours. Please be mindful of this limit to ensure that parking remains available and fair for all residents and their guests. REPORT MAINTENANCE ISSUES PROMPTLY If you notice a maintenance concern, whether in the common areas or near your home, please report it to Management right away at CCT@harborbay.org. Timely reporting helps prevent small issues from becoming larger problems and keeps Centre Court looking and functioning at its best. ARCHITECTURAL APPLICATIONS As a reminder, any exterior modifications — from paint colors to patio improvements — require an architectural application before work begins. Submitting an application through harborbay.org/archapp is quick and ensures that updates align with community guidelines. Thank you for helping us maintain a consistent and beautiful neighborhood. BOARD MEETINGS The Centre Court Board of Directors meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM. You may join in person at the Community Center (3195 Mecartney Road) or attend remotely via RingCentral. For agendas, links, and schedule updates, visit harborbay.org/calendar.

Thank you for continuing to make Centre Court a place where neighbors care, spaces are respected, and our community feels like home. Here’s to a safe, happy, and connected start to the new year! Cantamar by Barbara Caulfield, Board Treasurer H APPY NEW YEAR RESIDENTS OF CANTAMAR. WE hope you had a joyful holiday season. Thank you to those who put up lights and other decorations to make our neighborhood more festive. HARBOR BAY LANDING The developer thinking of purchasing the Harbor Bay Landing submitted a proposal for development. The proposal did not meet City of Alameda requirements; specifically, Alameda’s Housing Element requires a mixed use development at the site, with significant commercial space and a grocery store. The Harbor Bay 76 service station closed on November 30, 2025. The underground tanks and related equipment no longer complied with EPA regulations and the necessary upgrades were estimated to cost $2 million. BIKE LANES The City installed new bike lanes along McCartney Road, Veteran’s Court and Island Drive. Please keep cyclists in mind as you drive the island. SEWER LATERAL PROJECT New Pipes has finished Phase 2 of the sewer lateral project. Phase 3 is expected to start in the first quarter of 2026. FRIENDS OF THE ALAMEDA ANIMAL SHELTER (FAAS) The new Animal Medical Services and Training campus on North Loop Road will open soon. The facility will provide on-site spay/neuter services and other veterinary care. The project was constructed from repurposed shipping containers and is a revision from the original design which included some trees at the rear of the facility. At the request of some residents, Cantamar approached FAAS which has agreed to the planting of some trees between the facility and adjacent residents on Ratto Road. It may be cold and gray on these winter days, but walking around Cantamar you will see yellow and white daffodils and narcissus pushing through the dirt and pink blossoms on the trees along the lagoon. Spring is coming!
