The Gull's Call - Oct/Nov/Dec 2026
AssociationNews Sandpiper Cove by Matthew Harms, Board Secretary W
The Board is also actively addressing ongoing landscaping concerns. We hear and share your concerns about weeds and the current condition of our common areas. We are working with our current contractor on improvements while also exploring alternative services to help restore our landscaping to the standards we expect. Finally, we’re delighted to report that our August 4 National Night Out community picnic was a tremendous success! With Mister Softee, a BBQ, and a great turnout, residents enjoyed connecting with one another while representatives from the police and fire departments, animal rescue, District Attorney’s Office, and victim services joined us. We even made two extra trips to Safeway for more food! The overwhelmingly positive feedback showed just how much residents value opportunities to connect and get to know their neighbors. Based on this success, we plan to make National Night Out an annual community event and are already thinking of ways to make next year even better!
E ARE HAPPY TO UPDATE YOU IN THIS quarter’s edition of The Gull’s Call on our ongoing efforts to reduce association
liabilities, address landscaping concerns in our common areas, and share the success of our National Night Out community event. We’re pleased to report that new community signs have been installed at the Tot Lot and Green Belt. As mentioned in our last issue, the signs were added to enhance safety and reduce potential liability. The Tot Lot sign reminds residents to return toys to the sandbox after play and dispose of damaged toys. The Green Belt sign reminds residents that vehicles are not permitted on the grass, oversized garbage must be removed, and those hosting events may be responsible for damage to the irrigation system or park caused by bounce houses or other party equipment.
