The Gull's Call - Oct/Nov/Dec 2026
AssociationNews Clipper Cove by Nancie Shelden, Board Secretary W E HOPE THAT EVERYONE HAD AN ENJOYABLE summer and are looking forward to the changing of seasons, the colorful leaves and cooler weather. It is a great time to enjoy the outdoors and our beautiful neighborhood. LANDSCAPING We continue to convert the turf areas in front of homes from turf to drought tolerant plantings. Over the past 18 months we have focused primarily on corners or strips that border common areas. This fall/winter we will continue to focus on conversion of corner locations, but will also continue to convert the more typical mid-block curb strips. In addition, we may begin to try out different plants and methods to minimize the need to install expensive irrigation facilities for each conversion area. This conversion process will take at least several years in order to spread out costs.
As always, if you notice any issue with the irrigation system – such as broken sprinklers or damaged pipes – please report them immediately to our Association Manager at CCV@harborbay.org or submit a request online at harborbay.org/work-order request so that they can be promptly addressed. ARCHITECTURAL A reminder that any changes or additions to the outside of your home (such as painting, siding, windows, etc.) as well as landscaping changes to your front or rear yard, requires the submission and approval of an architectural application in advance. Please be sure to submit your application far enough in advance, as applications are reviewed on a preset twice-monthly schedule. Once your application is approved, you have 12 months to complete the work. Also, in performing any construction or landscape work, remember there are CCV irrigation facilities in every yard, and if the Owner or his contractor cause damage to the irrigation the Owner would be responsible for reimbursing CCV for any necessary repairs.
