READY FOR AUTUMN WEATHER For tree or branch failures, downed traffic signals, or flooding, call Alameda Public Works at (510) 747-7900. For emergencies after 6:00 p.m., call (510) 337-8340. Beginning November 6, Alameda residents may also pick up sandbags at the self-serve sandbag station located at Lexington Avenue and West Ranger Avenue at Alameda Point. Residents are limited to five sandbags per household. NEIGHBORHOOD PICNIC Cantamar is planning another neighborhood picnic! Although the date had not been confirmed when this article was submitted, please keep an eye out for a postcard and/or email with the date and additional information. We always enjoy getting to know our neighbors and look forward to welcoming new residents to the community. SEWER LATERAL PROJECT NEARING COMPLETION We are now in the third and final phase of the sewer lateral project and are getting close to completion. Work

is progressing well, and we are pleased to report that the project is expected to remain within budget. The contractor hopes to finish by the end of September, pending EBMUD approval. REPORT WATER LEAKS TO HARBOR BAY SECURITY If you notice a water leak outside of the Community Office's business hours, please call Harbor Bay Security at (510) 865-0417. Security is available 24 hours a day and will inspect the situation and contact EBMUD if necessary. PLAYGROUND GETS A FRESH LAYER OF BARK The playground has also received a fresh layer of bark to provide additional cushioning and help make playtime safer for everyone. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM CANTAMAR!
