BUTTERSCOTCH CHIP COOKIES Contributed by Security Commander Art Hammond. Ingredients
ALMOND ANISE BISCOTTI Contributed by Architectural Standards Manager Anisa Dominguez. A Personal Note: This is a family friend's award winning recipe. He made them for our wedding and each guest went home with some. Ingredients • ½ butter • 1 cup granulated sugar • 3 eggs • 3 teaspoon baking powder • 3 cups flour • ½ teaspoon salt • 1 teaspoon anise (or ½ tsp. seeds & ½ tsp. extract) • 1 cup almonds, chopped Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 2. Cream butter with sugar thoroughly. 3. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. 4. Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Add to cream mixture. 5. Stir in flavoring and nuts. 6. Turn mixture onto lightly floured board and knead until smooth. 7. Divide dough in half and form two rolls the length of cookie sheet. 8. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Once removed from the oven, increase the oven temperature to 375°F. 9. While warm, slice crosswise. 10. Lay biscotti on sliced side on cookie sheet and return to oven. 11. Bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Enjoy these crisp, flavorful biscotti with a cup of coffee or tea!
• 2¼ cups flour • ¾ cup sugar
• ¾ cup brown sugar • 1 teaspoon vanilla • 1 cup butter • 1 teaspoon baking soda • 1 teaspoon salt • 2 large eggs • 2 cups butterscotch chips
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. 2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. 3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add the vanilla and mix well. 4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition. 5. Slowly add the flour mixture and mix until well combined. 6. Stir in the butterscotch chips. 7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. 8. Bake at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Enjoy!
