T HE HARBOR BAY ISLE COMMUNITY CENTER IS NOW open for the Intercultural Committee (IC) to hold monthly meetings. The Intercultural Committee (IC) will meet at the Harbor Bay Community Center for a social gathering - 10:30 AM to 12 noon on the following dates: October 15, November 19, and December 17. To comply with the bylaws, new friends who wish to become members must reside in the Community of Harbor Bay Isle Owner's Association (CHBIOA). Having new board members ensures continuance of our IC activities. If you have any questions, please contact the current board president, Raymond Tang. The election will be held during the Christmas dinner on December 12.

UPCOMING EVENTS Christmas Dinner - Friday, December 12, 6 p.m., Pier 29 Waterfront Restaurant, 1148 Ballena Blvd., Alameda, CA 94501, (510) 865-5088. Please invite your family to join in the celebration. There will be a lucky draw. The cost per person including tax and tips is $40* for members and $45 for non-members. Meal includes: soup, salad, and coffee or tea. Entrée selection (choose one): 1) Lamb Shank; 2) Salmon; 3) Prawns Sauté; or 4) New York Steak ($10 additional charge). Mail check payable to Intercultural Committee, 3195 Mecartney Road, Alameda, CA 94502. Contact Iris for reservation with your entrée selection and payment arrangement. Please RSVP and remit payment by Wednesday, November 30. PAST EVENTS On June 20th, 30 IC members enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day dinner at Chef’s Wok. On August 2nd, Raymond Tang, representing IC, participated in the Harbor Bay Isle 50ish celebration with a food booth selling dim sum samplers. Special thanks to So Chang and Carol Tang for their help and contributions and the support of our members. On August 20th, 19 IC members enjoyed a delicious Mid Autumn Festival lunch at Fusion Delight Restaurant.
