CommunityNews It's Been Four Years Since... by Jacqui Galvez Vasquez SEMI-ANNUAL DOCUMENT SHREDDING & E-WASTE EVENT RECAP O n Saturday, July 22, 2023, CHBIOA welcomed homeowners back to this much appreciated semi-annual event. Folks were eager to purge documents and electronics, many of which they had accumulated since the onset of COVID. Vehicles started lining up prior to the 9am start time and snaked through the Community’s parking lot continuously until 12pm. Over 300 cars came through the 3-hour event. The event showcased two new vendors: Shred-it Document Shredding Service and E-Waste and Solar Panel Recycling Center. Both companies were professional and well prepared for the event. If you missed it, set your calendars. The Community will be hosting its next document shredding and e-waste recycling event on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 9am to 12pm. Hope to see you there!

ANNUAL COMMUNITY PARKING LOT SALE RECAP T HE COMMUNITY CAME TOGETHER ON SATURDAY, August 12, 2023 to participate in the first CHBIOA Parking Lot Sale in four years. The next Community Parking Lot Sale is planned for August 2024. The sun came out early as if to welcome and reward the 50+ vendors who were present early to set up. Bargain hunters were out early as well, trying to snag treasures before anyone else had a chance to eye them. Sales were robust throughout the day and vendors went home with far less than they came with that morning. Laughter and chatter filled the air that had been silent for too long due to COVID.
