T HE HARBOR BAY ISLE COMMUNITY CENTER IS NOW open for the Intercultural Committee (IC) to hold monthly meetings. The Intercultural Committee (IC) will meet at the Harbor Bay Community Center for a social gathering - 10:30 AM to 12 noon on the following dates: July 16th, August 20th, and September 17th. After our IC meeting at the Harbor Bay Isle community center that day, we will head out to the restaurant together. (For those who plan to go directly to the restaurant, please text Iris Sing in advance). PAST EVENTS On January 22nd, IC conducted an auction of IC supplies and raised $76.50. We appreciate Lisa Fong for her donation of $200 to the Intercultural Committee.

On March 19th, Carl Chan shared his life story as a realtor who became known as an advocate for Asian Americans in Oakland--fighting for justice, protecting the local elderly against Asian hate crimes, and helping businesses to operate in a safe environment. He successfully led the recall of Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price. He called on everyone to unite and support important matters with actions. *On March 19th, Michael Lee was confirmed as Vice President to replace Donald Lim. On May 7th, 17 IC members enjoyed a delicious Mother’s Day lunch at Pacific Lighthouse Restaurant.
