Pelican Bay by Diana Torres, Association Manager & Debbi Nakahara, Board President S UMMER IS HERE, AND EXCITING IMPROVEMENTS continue throughout our community. Updates on maintenance and projects in the Pelican Bay common areas are shared during our bi-monthly board meetings. As kids enjoy summer break, please remember to slow down, follow the 25-mph speed limit, and watch for pedestrians and bike riders. COMMUNITY PICNIC Join us Saturday, August 2nd, from 12:00 PM–4:00 PM at the park area for our annual community picnic. Bring a dish to share and your own chairs.

GOING OFF THE GRID? VACATION SAFETY FIRST If your summer plans include packing your bags and heading out on a grand adventure, let’s make sure your home stays safe while you’re away. A few quick steps can give you total peace of mind: • Call in the Pros: Did you know you can alert Harbor Bay Security before you leave? They can keep an eye on things and check your outside entrances while you’re gone. • The Neighbor Network: Let your closest neighbors know you’ll be away. Ask them to keep a lookout and grab any wandering packages from your porch. • The "Someone's Home" Illusion: Put a few inside lights on timers so they flip on and off in the evening. It’s a simple trick, but it’s still the best look for deterring unwanted visitors. SAVE THE DATE: THE HEADLANDS BLOCK PARTY IS BACK! Get ready to wrap up the summer in style! The Headlands Homeowner’s Association is thrilled to announce the return of our annual Block Party. To shake things up and celebrate the start of the new season, we will be hosting the party in August after the school year kicks off. It’s the perfect way to reconnect, share vacation stories, and keep that summer spirit alive a little longer. We have a fantastic committee already hard at work behind the scenes. Want to help us bring it to life? We’d love to have you! Reach out to Barbara Curtis to join the planning team. What to expect: Delicious catered food, refreshing beverages, a Bounce House for the kids, and guaranteed good times with the best community around. Stay safe, wave to your neighbors, and have an absolutely unforgettable summer!
