While work of this scale may cause temporary inconveniences, these improvements are necessary to help prevent larger infrastructure issues in the future and protect the quality of community utilities. The Board and management team are working closely with contractors to minimize disruptions whenever possible. Homeowners who may be directly affected will receive advance notice with project details, schedules, and construction timelines. Baywood Village continues to thrive because of the involvement and support of its homeowners, Board members, committees, and management team. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete these important improvements. If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions regarding community projects or future newsletter topics, please contact your association manager. Brittany Landing Bay by Christine McMahon I AM YOUR NEW BLB REPORTER WHO HAS LIVED HAPPILY on Parfait Lane since 2010, surrounded by some of the world’s best neighbors. I have information about a potential problem with our cleanouts and good news about our pool and pool parties, but I want to start by thanking Sandy Olsen for her 4 years of writing this column. She did a wonderful job of keeping us informed. SEWER CLEANOUT OVERFLOW? ACT QUICKLY If you see water, or even worse, sewage coming out of the cleanout (the round metal thing that says Sewer) located in or close to your driveway, CALL A PLUMBER. The leak suggests that there is a problem that will get worse, and thus more expensive to fix, the longer it is allowed to continue. Right after you call a plumber, call our Association Manager, Shenandoah Lush, at (510) 865-3363, to let her know what is happening. POOL RENOVATION COMPLETE AND SUMMER POOL PARTIES RETURN! The pool renovation is complete, and hopefully by now the pool is open for everyone to enjoy. While the delays were certainly frustrating, the finished result has been well worth the wait. Our refreshed pool looks fantastic, and I hope you enjoy the beautiful new blue tiles as
much as I do. Here's to a great season of swimming and relaxation! Thank you to Alison and Dan Brooks for coordinating our popular Summer Pool Parties. These monthly gatherings are a great opportunity for neighbors to connect, welcome new residents, and enjoy the community spirit that makes Brittany Landing Bay such a special place to live. This year, we have even more to celebrate as our pool has undergone a beautiful makeover, featuring new tile, fresh plaster, and updated steps and railings. The pool looks fantastic and is ready for another great summer season. We kicked off the festivities in June with a grand reopening celebration and are planning additional pool parties in July, August, and September. Dates and times will be announced soon, so be sure to watch for flyers with event details. Bring your family, an appetizer to share, your favorite beverage, and plenty of stories. We look forward to seeing you poolside this summer! Cantamar by Barbara Caulfield, Board Treasurer S UMMER IS HERE AND WE HOPE EVERYONE IS enjoying the nicer weather. The new Cantamar sign has been installed with fresh landscaping in that area. Grass near the sign and a few other locations will be removed and replaced in the next year or two as required by EBMUD. Don’t worry - the parks at the middle and end of Ratto Road will stay the same. The third phase of the Sewer Lateral Project is underway. The first two phases have been completed with few complications and under budget and we are hopeful this will be the case for this final phase. Summer is the time of vacations. Children are out of school and more likely to be outside. Please be careful when entering and exiting your garage and driving on the streets of Cantamar. Similarly, if you will be out of town, don’t forget that you can request a daily check of your home by Harbor Bay Security.
