The Gull's Call - Jul/Aug/Sep 2026
AssociationNews Bay Colony by Shenandoah Lush, Association Manager A of the year. Whether you're taking a stroll around the lagoon, enjoying time on your patio, or simply appreciating the beauty of our neighborhood, summer is a wonderful reminder of what makes Bay Colony such a special place to call home. This season also marks an exciting milestone for Bay Colony: after many months of planning, coordination, and construction, our roofing project is finally entering its final stretch. The Board would like to extend a sincere thank you to all homeowners and residents for your patience, flexibility, and understanding throughout this major improvement effort. The result will be a stronger, better protected community for years to come. As one project winds down, we are pleased to announce a new member to the Board of Directors. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Ed Hickland as Bay Colony’s newly appointed Member at Large. We appreciate his willingness to volunteer his time and energy in service to the community and look forward to the perspectives he will bring to the Association’s work ahead! Looking ahead, the Board is focusing on Bay Colony’s financial health and evaluating efforts to update the Association’s CC&Rs. These governing documents help guide our community, and homeowner input is a necessary key part of the process. We encourage residents to stay informed, attend meetings, ask questions, and share their thoughts. Community involvement helps ensure that any future decisions reflect the needs and priorities of Bay Colony homeowners. Summer is also a great time to get involved. Whether through committee participation, attending Board meetings, or simply staying connected with your neighbors, every contribution helps strengthen our community spirit. Thank you for being an important part of Bay Colony. We wish you a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer season and look forward to the exciting progress and opportunities ahead. S THE DAYS GROW LONGER AND THE SUNSHINE lingers a little later each evening, our community is settling into one of the most enjoyable times
Bayview Harbor by Diana Torres, Association Manager O NE OF THE MANY THINGS THAT MAKES BAYVIEW Harbor such a wonderful place to live is the care and respect our neighbors show for one another. To help keep our community running smoothly we’d like to share a few friendly reminders and updates. BAYVIEW HARBOR ARCHITECTURAL RULES AND GUIDELINES An architectural application with applicable plans must be submitted and approved prior to commencing any architectural or landscape installation or modification. Property modifications include all improvements to the exterior surfaces of the house, including repainting, any building modifications, and all improvements to the land, including landscape, hardscape, or any structural additions to the land. Proposed improvements must be appropriate to their immediate surroundings and be compatible with the architectural and landscape characteristics of the Harbor Bay Association. Owners are strongly encouraged to review these Rules and Standards and the Community’s Architectural Rules and Standards for specific requirements that apply to proposed property improvements. NEW PAINT PALETTE The Bayview Harbor Board of Directors has approved a revised paint palette and updated painting guidelines for the association. The new palette was developed by the Bayview Harbor Paint Palette Committee and reviewed by a professional Benjamin Moore color consultant. The Association extends its sincere thanks to the volunteers who dedicated many hours to creating the new color schemes. Their efforts have helped ensure an attractive and cohesive look throughout the neighborhood. Homeowners may choose from the newly approved color schemes or continue repainting their homes using their existing approved colors. However, homeowners may not select a different color scheme from the former 2010 paint palette. Any paint brand may be used, provided the colors match the approved Benjamin Moore colors. Most paint stores can custom-match these colors.
