Centre Court by Amanda Meng, Association Manager H OLIDAY GREETINGS TO YOU AND THE ONES YOU spend it with! May this time of year shine light on your blessings and bring new ones in the year to come. You may have noticed a lot of maintenance issues were addressed this past autumn. Repair of the water main in the 300-block, new fencing in the front half of the association, sidewalk re-leveling, and tree care and removals were only a few of the big projects that happened throughout the neighborhood. With many more projects on the horizon, now is a good time to get involved in the community. If you are interested in serving on the Board, joining a committee, or writing for The Gull’s Call (articles come out only 4 times a year), please contact your Association Manager at CCT@HarborBay.org. With winter fast approaching, the temperature is sure to drop. Here are some helpful tips to keep you warm: • Prevent drafts by inspecting windows and doors for cracks or leaks. Replace weather stripping if needed. • Reverse the direction of ceiling fans to force warm air down into the room. • Have your furnace or heating system professionally inspected. • Check batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Monthly Board of Directors meetings are still available in hybrid format, meaning that homeowners have the option of attending meetings in-person at the Community Center, 3195 Mecartney Road, or attending meetings remotely via RingCentral. We encourage all homeowners to attend our Centre Court monthly Board of Directors meetings to stay up-to-date on current events. Centre Court meets every second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM. Winter meeting dates are scheduled January 10th, February 14th, and March 13th this year. These scheduled times are subject to change. Check the calendar at harborbay.org/calendar for the most current meeting dates, times, agendas and other information related to the meetings.

ARCHITECTURAL IMPROVEMENTS The beginning of a new year is a great time to remind all homeowners that it is your responsibility to follow As sociation by-laws and guidelines to ensure we maintain and protect our property value. If you are planning home improvement projects to the exteriors of your homes or landscaping in the coming months, please submit an architectural applicaiton at harborbay.org/archapp. DOG WASTE BAGS Please, dog owners that use the mini-park on Cotella and Ratto, poop pick-up bags are provided for those rare cases that you forget to bring your own bag. The bags are not intended to replenish your supply. (Dog owners have been witnessed stuffing several bags into their pockets. Please do not do this.) The bags are paid for by the Cantamar homeowners and are meant to keep the grass free of dog poop. Please take no more than ONE bag so that there are bags available for others who might find themselves in similar circumstances and need a bag for their dog. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK SIDEWALKS The Board would like to remind all Cantamar homeowners that live on Ratto Road, blocking the sidewalk with parked cars which protrude past your property is forbidden. The Board has received complaints from homeowners who must walk in the street to get around cars that block the sidewalk. Besides being illegal, it exposes pedestrians to traffic when they must avoid vehicles blocking the side walk by walking in Ratto Road and places them at risk for being hit by a car. First and foremost, Ratto Road home owners should park their vehicles in their garage. Park ing is allowed in driveways as long as the sidewalk is not blocked. Offenders are subject to fines/towing. Please be a good neighbor and do not block the sidewalk. To keep our neighborhood a safe place for all, please do not exceed the posted speed limit of 15 MPH on Ratto Road and all our side streets. BOARD MEETING The next Cantamar Board meeting will be on Wednesday, March 20th and all homeowners are welcome and encouraged to attend. You can contact our Association Manager for assistance: CAN@harborbay.org.
