T HE HARBOR BAY ISLE COMMUNITY CENTER IS NOW open for the Intercultural Committee (IC) to hold monthly meetings. The Intercultural Committee (IC) will meet at the Harbor Bay Community Center for a social gathering - 10:30 AM to 12 noon on the following dates: April 1, May 6, and June 3. To comply with the bylaws, new friends who wish to become members must reside in the Community of Harbor Bay Isle (CHBI). UPCOMING EVENTS Mother’s Day Lunch– Wednesday, May 6, 12 noon, Pacific Lighthouse Restaurant, 1051 Pacific Marina, Alameda, 510-263-9232. After our IC meeting at the Harbor Bay Isle community center that day, we will head out to the

restaurant together. (For those who plan to go directly to the restaurant, please text Edward/Iris Sing in advance). Father’s Day Dinner – Saturday, June 6, 6 p.m., East Ocean Seafood Restaurant, Alameda, 1713 Webster Street, 510-865-3381. The cost is $30 per member (2 members per family) and $40 for nonmembers. Please RSVP and remit payment by Wednesday, May 27. Contact Edward/ Iris Sing when you are mailing or dropping off a check at the community center or if you prefer making a cash drop off. PAST EVENTS On December 12, 52 IC members and their families gathered for a wonderful Christmas dinner with a lucky draw at Pier 29 Waterfront Restaurant. We appreciate Carol Tang (IC video), Esther Lin, and Raymond Tang for the purchase of gifts on behalf of IC. Many thanks to Patsy Shen for her gift (6) donations and Raymond Tang for his lucky envelope (3) donations. Bill Pai, board president of Mastick Senior Center, was presented with an IC gift donation of $500. On February 4, Peter Yung with Jason Zeng did a presentation and demonstration of taichu healing.
